INI100: Insights into Anchoring

with Nancy Erley
Tuesday, February 3, 2015, 8:00 pm U.S. EST

Securely setting and easily retrieving an anchor is a process simplified by truly understanding how and why it works.  First you will learn the details of basic anchoring. Building on that knowledge, Nancy will then discuss strategies for tricky situations like crowded anchorages, using multiple anchors and ways to get a fouled anchor unstuck. Nancy has anchored over a thousand times in her two circumnavigations and speaks from a wealth of personal mishap and recovery.

This is the first presentation in our new Insights series, taught by highly qualified women instructors for women-only audiences. This track will present so-called "blue" subjects and provide insights into the Who, What, Where, When, Why and How of a topic in a supportive learning environment.
